PHOBIA

By Vincent Valentine

One fearful man, an otherwise ordinary man,

Terrified by the smallest of things

Spiders and webs and insects with wings

Butterflies that would strike ordinaries as beautiful

Cause him to be so dreadfully fearful

He runs when he sees

Such tiny creatures as honey-bees

Afraid of hights and swirling lights

Unable to walk on the street

For fear of being eaten as meat

Some of the above fears bring me to tears (they’re so humorous)

Others of these are merely good caution I warn you

For there are the good and the evil too

So take heed of where you step

You may be at the door of death
