O Blissful Day
By Vincent Valentine
Oh how joyous a day ‘tis it, yes indeed
And some say a few drinks I did not need
They fancy me a drunkard, but I am not drunk
You see it is only a blissful day
Indeed rather cheerful I do say
However, this cannot be influenced by a little drink (or two)
What harm is it to celebrate with merriment and have a good day? I ask of you
You know what you are saying, you may think
Oh but how mistaken you really are, if only you would see
There is nothing the matter with me
Are we not all entitled to be merry as we wish?
You people are all far too stiff
Perhaps you and I should celebrate some more
And enjoy some festivities and fantastic lore
You people are all far to dire
We can relate stories over a beautiful fire
And enjoy the revelry all the more
Even into the night very late
