~The Jinova Project~ The Jinova project was started when Shin-Ra found a 2000+ yr. old 'crisis from the sky' (that was still alive). They took it's cells and some MAKO and injected those into the members of SOLDIER. Then they hooked it up into a MACO reactor in Nibl. mts. This also made a hole shit load of monster out of people who were, at one time, normal. Then 30yr. before the game after Prof.Gast died and Hojo took over he got the Scientist Lucrecia pregnant. When she was he injected her with MACO and Jinova cells. She died just after her baby boy was born and never got to hold him even once.
