Chocobo Breeding and Racing!

Ok, this is the last time I'm ever going to type this up for anyone!!

#1 Chocobo Breeding the best way to...

First buy all 6 stables from Choco Bill at 10,000 gil a piece. As you should probably know by now, Chocobos can be found anywhere there are Chocobo tracks on the landscape. What you might not know though is that each area will only have to kinds of Chocobos. Here's the list-

Chocobo's around Ranch area are poor, or weak ones

Junon Area chocobos will be fair or poor

Gold Saucer Chocobos are good or Average

Rocket Town will have Mediocre chocobos

Wutai chocobos are Average and Fair

Icicle Inn chocobos will be Wonderful or weak

Last Mideel Areas will have Great or Fair chocobos

You can capture four chocobo's at a time, then you go back to the Ranch to choose who the keepers are. Choco Billy will always tell you what chocobo is what, but not out right. Here's what his comments mean-

wonderful = wonderful

great = great

good=good

not bad=fair

average= duh, average

so-so=Mediocre

not very good=poor

can't recommend this one=weak

Now the main goal of chocobo's is not to have fun, not to play with the cute little things, not to make them happy, no! Its to get that damn gold bird!! Now for this you will need one great chocobo and one good chocobo! You will need to buy some Greens now so you can max out there stats.

Gysahl you get from Bill at 100 gil and it helps their stamina

Krakka are at Bills for 250 and its +Intellect

Tantal are at Bills for 400 and the + speed Intellect and stamina

Pahsana are at Bills for 800 and its +Intellect

Curiel are at Bills for 1000 and they +Speed and stamina

Mimett are from bill at 1500 and they also +speed and stamina

Reagon are from Sage's at 3000 and they +Speed and stamina

and last Sylkis are from Sage at 5000 and +all three things

Once they're maxed out got to the Chocobo races at GS, and race them up to S class. This may be a little hard but try holding down the L and R buttons to gain back Stamina and also go faster. Once both are at S class go back home and have them mate using a Carob nut. Which you'll have to steal from a Vlakorados up near Bone Village.

Now you should get ether a blue or green chocobo (I suggest that you save just before mating so if you don't get a blue or green you can just re-set) Once you get one you'll have to mate the great and good so you can get the other kind. When you have a blue and green (of opposite sex) you'll need to max out there stats as well and get them to S class. Once there have those to mate using a Carob nut to get a black chocobo. Now go and get a wonderful chocobo and max it out and get it to S class. Now go find a Goblin on the island northwest of the ranch and steal a Zeio nut from it. Once done have the Black and wonderful mate with that nut and you can get a gold!!

Now for Choco races if you win (I think) 12 in a row you'll get one of every item. Also holding down the L and R buttons give you back your stamina and make you faster. Tifa and Cid can also ride the chocobos if their in your party.
